Community Guidelines
Last updated 5 November 2026
Draft template for review. These terms must be checked by a solicitor, and the bracketed details completed, before Dwello takes payments from the public.
Dwello’s community is for sharing home renovations: before and afters, stories, tips and honest experience. These guidelines keep it useful, safe and friendly. They form part of our Terms of Service.
Do
- Keep it about homes and the work: progress, results, lessons learned, products and trades you rate.
- Be kind and constructive. Everyone’s budget and taste is different.
- Share honest experience. If you were given something for free or paid to promote it, say so.
Don’t
- Post anything illegal, including hate speech, harassment, threats, or content promoting violence or illegal goods.
- Post sexual, graphic or shocking content.
- Share other people’s personal details, house numbers, full addresses, number plates, or anything that identifies where someone lives.
- Post photos of children, or of adults who haven’t agreed to be shown.
- Post content you don’t own or have permission to use.
- Spam, scam, or advertise without saying so. Tradespeople can share their own work, but must make clear it’s their business.
- Name and shame tradespeople with allegations you can’t back up. Stick to facts about your own experience.
- Impersonate other people or businesses.
Safety Tips
- Check photos before posting: house numbers, post, screens, reflections and windows can give away more than you think.
- Never share payment details or arrange payments through comments.
- Dwello doesn’t vet tradespeople mentioned by users. Always check reviews, insurance and qualifications yourself.
